It seems as though a much delayed spring may actually have arrived in Chicago. This is the time of year that brings renewal, change and fresh starts. We eagerly await new fresh crop coffees from Central America and the first harvests of green teas from Asia. Our new menu is finally out and just beginning to take advantage of our local markets. We bring in new suppliers like Black Earth Meats and New England Seafood Co. We will present several new “guest roasters” this season as well and offer a selection anchored by Intelligentsia as always, but with new perspectives on coffee from the legendary George Howell’s Terroir Coffee, to name the first. It is also in this spirit of renewal and new perspective that Larry Vodak of Scout Chicago has helped us to begin a revision of our shop’s aesthetic. Check back often to see the progress.
